Data settings on phone

Hi, I activated my PM sim card two days ago. The network is working, I can call and recieve text messages. However, I am not able to use the data that should be available with my plan. I am thinking maybe this has to do with the settings on my phone. I have an Android (LG), I turned on the data but nothing happened. Could anyone help me troubleshooting this issue?

Thank you

If manually entering the APN info doesn't work, you might want to reset network settings: https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1GCEU_enCA844CA844&ei=VDH5XIztD-qe0gLgz5XQDw&q=reset+network+set...

@Geneviève  It has been reported here many times that when switching providers cetain LG phones need to have their network settings reset for data to work. Check your APN settings to make sure that they are correct.

These are the Public Mobile APN settings you need:

Name: Public Mobile
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy: Leave blank
Port: Leave blank
Username: Leave blank
Password: Leave blank
Server: Leave blank
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: Leave blank
APN type: default,mms,agps,supl,fota,hipri
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO type: GID
MVNO value: 4D4F

Don't forget to save these settings and then select this APN as the active one.

If you need to know where to find the settings:
Android
Settings > More / More Networks / Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > New APN setting (or a plus sign)
