@mntbykr sorry I misunderstood your problem: did you recently port in a number? I think you did, and it failed. This is consistent with you seeing your texts with your old SIM (I'm assuming from your previous provider). You need to contact the moderator team to help with your port. Please see this knowledge base article for details: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Knowledge-Base/How-to-Get-Help/ta-p/251745
In your message please include:
If you have a Porting issue, please also include:
Don't know your pin?--provide any 3 of the following:

I also popped in the old sim card and voila, all my texts come through.

I just tried the lost phone trick, still nothing.

Maybe try the lost/stolen phone trick. Report your phone lost/stolen in self service account. Logout. Wait few minutes. Login. Report your phone found. Re-boot your phone. This might reset/re-start your SIM card.
If you have another phone, try putting your PM sim card in the other phone. To help distinguish between hardward versus mobile service issue.
If none of the above works, you may need to contact moderator, but expect 2-3 day wait.....
Send a private message to moderator through the following link :

Please include in the private message your phone number, your account number and PIN code.
At least you have data. You can try a service like fongo.com for now to make some calls, etc.

My data is fine now after a factory reset. Now I am not receiving calls or texts. I am not yet excited about changing to PM.It is just one problem after another.

If you have a LG smart phone, you need to do a network reset after provider change. If network reset does not fix your data issue, do a factory reset.
Network reset changes only network related parameters - nothing else.
Factory reset deletes everything. You need to setup your phone again if you don't have a backup.
Always do the network reset first before factory reset. But backup your data first.

I need the same problem corrected! It is frustrating that there is no customer support!

Hi @Moop. Others have had some trouble getting data working on the G3 in the past. I believe the only thing that ends up resolving it is a factory reset. Unfortunately, this will wipe all your data from the phone, so be sure to back up anything important (photos, documents, texts) that are not synced to the cloud (contacts?--most people sync to Gmail but just in case you don't) before you do it.
This isn't limited to Public Mobile, I seem to recall it affecting changing carriers on the G3 in general.
