I recently activated a sim card with a data plan for use with my Orbi wireless router. The router takes a nano sim card and has worked in the past with a data plan from a different carrier. Is public mobile compatible with wireless routers like the Orbi or will I need to switch to a different carrier? If there is a way to make them compatible that would be helpful since I have no use for the data plan otherwise.
I did some digging and ended up needing to change the APN settings for the router to match Public Mobile, the settings were still set for the previous carrier. It seems to be working well now.
@CalebSY , the big 3 use very similar frequencies and so if you have had success with a service from a competing band, it is likely to work also on Public Mobile.
