Hi,
I have run out of data on my regular plan and purchased an add on but it doesn’t work. As soon as I’m not connected to wifi, nothing on my phone works.

Ah. iphone. In imessage, turn on send as sms and send as mms. Send to phone numbers, not email addresses. imessage uses the old timey instant messaging that needs the internet. Making it more standard will use standard sms and mms.
I really don't like iphones for less data buckets. It's why providers love iphones because people are "sold" on gobbling so much data. So for those that wish to be sparing on data, they have to do some other fiddling to work around the iphone appetite.

Calls work but iMessage is spotty, sometimes sends as regular text and sometimes doesn’t. Data stop setting? Yes data is on because it was working up until the data ran out on my plan.

Can we assume that you obviously turned on mobile data? And when you say nothing works that you mean just the internet? Calls and texts works? You don't have a data stop setting on the phone?

It would still be good to know what's going on with buying an add on and why it's not working properly! So please let us know what customer service tells you.
There's just too many problems with the system, since the website was upgraded.
Your problem has been coming up lately, with other users too.

ask customer support for a refund and to change your plan to the scheduled $40/15gb

You can opt to Change plan now if you wish. If your old plan is outta data already...you got no data to lose.

I did that! Thanks it’s just until the new plans comes in, I added the add on but it doesn’t want to work

if you find you're going over your regular plan data...maybe time to consider a plan with more data. PM is currently offering a plan with 15Gb's of data, talk and text for just $40.
Just something to consider.

My account is active yes. I pay autopay. I already turned my phone on and off and in and out of airplane mode.

@lizN34 hi is your account active? dial *611 to see what it says,if it is toggle in and out of airplane mode or reboot your phone

Did you try rebooting your phone. As per your screenshot all looks in order.
Did you have any issues with data add-ons before?
