Public Mobile is using Dark Patterns.
Adding an add-on is easy, but they provide no apparent way to remove one.
how can I remove my extra data option?

yes, you are right. Not so dark now.
having to make a forum account and having to go through chat bot to open a ticket, definitely is though.

This is the second time I've seen this term so I had to look it up. Not so dark now eh 🙂
Adding - this is one of two of the big 3 main providers and their sub-brands that have add-ons that stay on the account after initial purchase. The other is Koodo. Both Telus. None of the others do this. The add-ons drop at the next renewal if not fully used.

@Stolk add-ons don’t automatically renew but it does stay on your account until this is all used up you won’t be charged for it twice

Hi @Stolk all addons are one time purchase, won't automatically reapply
post a screenshot and explain more

You misunderstood
I do not want a refund.
i just want to stop the add on.
the fact that it is automatically re added is another dark pattern.

@Stolk Hi there is no way to remove them unless you bought one by accident and haven’t used any of it yet you can contact customer service agent to open a ticket, to speak to a customer service agent Click here or if you are having issues with Simon you can send private message to a CS Agent here: https://bit.ly/2GGCJzH

@Stolk PM is prepaid and usually no refund
but open ticket with CS agent to discuss
at : https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot. Follow this to get to ticket open screen quicker:
After ticket is submitted, make sure to check your Community Inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically for response from PM's CS Agent
If you have problems submitting a ticket, you can also send a private message to the CS Agent (but this can take longer):
