I will be in the USA for a period of 10 days. Does my current plan cover this ?

even if your current plan is Canada only, you can still buy a 15 or 30 Day US talk/text/data Roaming add-on for use whilst in USA. Log in to your Public Mobile account > Shop Add-ons...you'll find a menu of add-ons. Check the US Roaming 15 or 30 day options. 

If you happen to have at least 10 Reward Points in your account, have a look at Rewards > Catalogue to see the menu of Roaming add-ons available using Points you can redeem.

Remember ...you MUST have a VoLTE enabled cellphone that is recognized by Public Mobile in order to be able to use talk functions in USA.

Only if you have the Canada/USA or Canada/USA/Mexico plan.

If you have the Canada wide plan then you need to purchase a USA add-on.

With Roaming enabled in your cellular settings. Sometimes you will need to manually connect to AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon.

Also, since USA decommissioned 3G. Your phone must be VoLTE compatible to make calls. Check to see if your phone is compatible.

If not compatible, you can use a VoIP app like TextNow or Fongo or WhatsApp (if both parties have it app).

What plan do you have is it Canada 🇨🇦, us,Mexico if so don't forget to turn on roaming yes you will be good
