New user here. Could someone please tell me if I need to use my country code (1) when I’m calling or texting with my cell.
TIA

You don't need to add 1. It makes no difference for texts. To call, it also makes no difference for local calls. If the call is outside your local area, you will hear a reminder that the call is long distance but the call will still be placed. Ignore the message about long distance charges. Dialing 1 skips the long distance message.

Adding 1 can be an issue.
I suggest you add +1 to all your numbers in your contacts etc.

@Tapper22 it is always good to include the 1 in front of the area code to make phone calls and text
