Hello
I was called by someone (number 647-xxx-xxxx) who had said that I had called them. My call purportedly came in at 3:16 PM last Friday, June 27. I had never called them. She showed me a screenshot on her phone that indicated that I had indeed called them. There is no record of my calling them on my own phone!
I wanted to let you know about this and ask if there's anything that needs to be done. Someone out there is using my cell phone number?

It also happens to myself once in a while. As mentioned, no worries about your phone being hacked or corrupted. Next time, just keep the conversation short. Saying that you did not call them and somebody spoofed your phone number to look like that you called them.

Shouldn't be an ongoing issue, there's spam callers that have "number spoofers" which will use a local phone number and make it more appealing to answer an unknown phone number, usually they switch the number after a call.

YOUR number is spoofed and shows on other people phone when spammer calls them.
Do not argue when somebody calls you and complains why did you call them as you know it is not you bat bad guys.
Once I got a call from a old lady from a BC sayin 'I called her' from ON.

Its just a spam. Happens sometimes. I would just ignore it.
