Connection issues

I just switched from Rogers LTE plan yesterday to the 20gb 5g plan with public mobile and I get no signal indoors (home and at work) so bad I can barely send a text but outside I get full 5g signal.

Is it a setting that I need to change or just the signal with PM?

I am using a 5g enabled android phone and I had no issues yesterday when I was still with Rogers.

@Spegat do you have another phone to test?

but if outdoor is working great, it really could be just a local network issue+the materials of the home/work building

@Spegat

Where is your home/work located?

@Spegat   Just to clarify, you mean 5G auto, or do you mean the network selection (e.g.. Public Mobile)  is on automatic?

@Spegat  what phone do you have?

Try to change the network mode to 4G or LTE and see if it helps

@Spegat

Yep....sounds like a settings issue. You should leave your phone's preferred network setting on automatic.

@Spegat   In your settings is the phone set to 5G always, 5G auto (depending on phone) or LTE?  If not on LTE maybe try that to see if the signal is stronger.  On a PM 5G plan the LTE speeds can still be faster than PM's advertised 4G plans.
