Check Phone Compatibilty on Web

ACTs2010

I am checking on your web site to see if one of my client's cell phone is compatible with Public Mobile for International Travel to Europe. But you website option for this is not working properly. I can't search the drop down menu or type in his phone.
And by checking your forum this problem seem to be an issue for at lease a few years.
So is this going to fixed or even available soon?

@ACTs2010

The compatibility checker is out of date and not all inclusive.

As for travel to Europe, Public mobile does not offer international roaming except for the USA.

In Canada,

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:

  • 4G LTE and LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).
  • HSPA: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).

3G = 850 (5), 1900 (2)

4G = 850 (5), 1900 (2), 700 (12/13/17/29), 1700/2100 (4), 2600 (7), 1700/2100 (66)

Why check here for compatibility elsewhere? There are many ways to check what will work where.

But yes not long ago the not very useful compatibility checker was basically turned off. They couldn't be bothered to remove it altogether. They should just have a link to devicecheck.ca and the list of what frequencies are needed here. After that you're on your own.
