Hi there,
Is anyone else having issues using ChatGPT's advanced voice mode while on cellular network? I get the error that it can't connect every time. Works fine when I'm on wifi or if I install a VPN to use while on cellular. This service worked fine for me while I was on my iPhone 13 pro. Now I have a iPhone 17 pro and the latest OS and haven't been able to get it to work at all.
I have dealt with ChatGPT, public, and apple support to try and resolve this and jumped through all the hoops. Reinstalled the app, reset network settings, event reset my sim, tried a different openAI account, tried different models, etc. My best guess is that it's an issue with the latest OS and the permission handshaking between this version of OS and the ChatGPT app. I have asked openAI to elevate this to their developers.
If you have this issue please chime in.

Please see my reply in this thread. I also spent countless hours with my IT team and the Apple Store to try and rectify the problem. It is Public Mobile carrier service that is blocking the app.

Yes it is a problem with the carrier. I spoke with Telus IT and he told me it affected ChatGPT voice function as well. They only called me after I requested it for my issue to be escalated.
When my plan was changed recently, I was moved from IPV4 to IPV6 - the IPV6 (Internet protocol 6) is the problem. This only took effect over the last 2 weeks. IT switched me back to IPV4 and it solved my problem with my Webex app.
Please have your issue escalated to the IT at Telus/Koodo and tell them it’s a routing problem and you need to be switched back to IPV4.

@pj39jameson and @holymackinaw88
did you lately upgrade your plan? it was confirmed from another community member that it could be a problem with the protocol
Open another ticket with PM and ask them to escalate to Telus Support, ask them to refer back to that post
(or @Carina33 , can you share your Helpdesk ticket # so they can refer to it? thx)

I don't think it's the carrier seeing as it was working fine all year for me on my iphone 13. Are you running the latest version of iOS?

I'm having the same issue. I think it's carrier related but unsure how to have this fixed
