Cellular Trail Camera

I have a SIM Card and cell number but I am trying to setup a cellular trail camera. I would like to create an account but it asks me to enter a number texted to my number.  This is not connected to a phone so therefore I can not get the number to activate and account and require the following information.

APN:

Username :

Password:

MMSC

MMS Proxy

MMS Port

If anyone can help with this information please reach out

On Android, an app called Network signal info can provide your IMSI.  It's in the System Info category of that app.

@Index32dc  No, the IMSI is device specific the sim card will not provide that info.

This is only true in the case of phones that don't use a SIM card. When a SIM card is used, the IMSI is specific to the SIM card itself.

@Index32dc  No, the IMSI is device specific the sim card will not provide that info.

I think so. I have a dual SIM phone and the IMSI is different between them.

Edit: I did use waffle words of I think so. 🙂 thanks geopublic

Edit again: well now I don't know 🙂 thanks computergeek541

For your phone? Or this camera?

An Android Play Store app called Radio Switcher will show it.

@Index32dc  Gmail requires encryption so pick starttls or if that doesn't work try SSL.

I would blank out the personal info to start.

Which are you wanting to use? MMS or SMTP? But yeah the settings are pretty sparse. Did you copy them from your presumably working phone?

I can only turn one mode (MMS or SMS)on at time but the settings are there.  They dont give many options

@Index32dc  That camera has two options it can send you alerts and pictures via MMS or it can send you the same info via email by configuring the SMTP configuration.

Post a screen shot of the MMS and SMTP settings here if you world like so that we can review them and advise you of any changes that you need to make.

So I have a Suntek HC900LTE 4G Trailcam.  I have created a config file utilizing the specification for the public network and transfered it to the device . The camera recognizes the network has excellent coverage.

When I review my account I can see when I text the device and have seen a few instances of it making calls, sending texts, and transferring data to the web.

Unfortunately none of this is to me. If there was a way to see what was sent from the device it would be great.

I am pretty confident the issue is with the Suntek application or the cloud I have reached out to them as well.

Working all the angles...  thank you all for your assitance

Thank you that got me in to my account. Still having an issue.

This isn't a phone. You'll need to refer to the owners manual on how to gain access to its settings to be able to make any services work. USB? Bluetooth? Built-in http server? Wifi?

Thanks a lot. Seem to be getting closer to fixing it up.. still havent recieved anything from the camera but can see on my account it is recieving my texts and sending something.  This may be an issue with the camera so working both sides of the issue.

@Index32dc out the sim in your phone so that you can receive the text and setup the account. then put the sim in your trail camera after you've completed the necessary steps

@Index32dc  Just put the sim card in your phone to receive the text.
