Cell phone lost.

If I buy a new sim card and attach it to my existing cell phone number, does that override the sim card in the lost phone and remove the ability to contact anyone listed there?

get a new cellphone and order or buy a new PM sim...then log in to your PM account to Change SIM Number. You'll have your old PM account back. You'll have to manually update your contacts list yourself.

You can login to your account online or app the click on Lost/Stolen Device to stop service on the old phone.

Once you have your new phone and SIM. Simply login to you account online or the app and click on Change SIM Card number.
