Hi
I registered last night with a new SIM, and also ported my number from Petro Canada Mobility. The phone can send texts, and can call out, but is not receiving texts, and calls to the number automatically go to voicemail. Data is working as well. I suspect there's some issue completing the number port, and Petro Canada Mobility doesn't have account numbers, they simply uses the phone number. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Yvan

Thanks, I'll give that a try as well, although I seem to remember it automatically picked them up. Definitely worth the effort to check.

Yvan

I had the same problem. I had bars with the public mobile sim card and was receiving texts, calls wouldn't work.
I manually went into mobile connections and chose public mobile as the carrier. My phone then said i was registered on the network and calls and texts now work fine. Hope that helps!

Ports from other mobile companies should not take that long - a few hours at most. If the above suggestion does not work (restart phone) then the port may be stuck.
If you think it is stuck you will need to send a private message to the moderator team. They are available 7 day/weeks but not 24/7. Click this: message to moderators to send a private message to the moderators.
Include your name, PM phone number, account number, 4-digit PIN and a brief description of the problem.

Ports can take a few hours to complete. I previously ported my Petro Canada number over and had the same issue. What worked for me was to go into my phone's Cellular network settings and manually select Public Mobile as the Network operator.
If that doesn't work, you can try rebooting and/or removing the SIM and re-inserting.
You can also send a private message to Moderator_Team and have them check on the port.
