Cannot send/receive text messages.

Hey Guys!

 

I activated a $20 text only plan with Public Mobile, on Sept 3rd, my account is active and the phone is working, however I am not able to Send or Receive text messages... I have tried the SIM in another phone, still not working.....

It has never worked, in any device!

So are you saying it never worked or it was working than stopped?

I am aware that the $20 talk only plan does not include texting...

 

I built my own plan for texting only, and confirmed all of my plan details before posting to the community..

You might have not properly set up Messaging Center / SMSC on your phone. See here.

If it's not device issue, check your account status or Ask a moderator (Can take up to 48 hrs, 1 message at a time).

Texting is not possible with a talk only plan.  You would need to upgrade to the $25 talk/text plan (https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/plans/25unlimitedtalk-text).


In the plan builder, you can build a text only plan.  @anthrskywlkr, please login to the self serve portal and confirm the plan features.
