Hi,
I recently switched carriers (1 hour ago at time of this message). Can support check status of my port from fizz?
When can I remove old esim from phone?
I can send calls. I am nervous because with fizz I was unable to receive texts.

ok. Then it is just text
Try uninstall Google Message, or uninstall updates if full uninstall is not an option, then reboot phone and reinstall. That will make text working again
if you still cannot send/receive text, then you will need to ask PM to reprovision it

Fizz esim is deleted. Can confirm calls can be sent and received. I reboot wireless setting and restarted. 5g do

Fizz sim is removed or Fizz esim disabled?
Reboot phone and resent network settings
forget the text for now, let's make sure you can send and receive calls and mobile data work
if you cannot make calls and mobile data work, it's a sim provisioning issue, ask PM to reprovision

I checked fizz. Account is deactivated. I did say yes to the text

how you know the transfer went through?
did you got a text from Fizz and did you reply yes?
and try to login Fizz and see if the account is active or closed. If the account is still active, then the port was not completed,

hi@Bwodz
make sure you removed the old sim card. Then check if PM sim is enabled and set with label Primary. Reboot your phone and reset network settings
And clear Google message app cache

If you can receive calls on your original number, that usually means that your port was successful.
Maybe try to reboot your phone or network reset of phone (this will erase any saved Wifi passwords). Turn on RCS and see whether you receive texts.

I cannot receive texts now but I can send and receive calls. Please assist if possible. Im on an android phone, and rcs is off for now.
Hello @Bwodz
One thing you can do is to do a Network Reset on your phone. With Android, it will erase any WiFi passwords and Bluetooth items. After you do a network reset, restart your phone.

Hello @Bwodz
Allow me to confirm some information here.
Did you get a port request while on Fizz requesting to port to Public Mobile? If so, I assume you said yes?
Please note, porting numbers can take up to 2 hours.
If your Fizz eSIM is currently still in the phone, do not remove it yet. Since you didn't mention it, I'm thinking you purchase an eSIM from Public Mobile? If so, go into your SIM manager and make Public Mobile your primary network and then reboot. If still nothing, you may need to reset your Network Settings as sometimes Fizz network info can mess with PM's info.

hi @Bwodz
Did you get a text from the old carrier, did you reply Yes within 90 mins?
i suggest you to disable PM sim for now, keep the Fizz esim enabled, reboot every 30 mins until you see Fizz sim is not working anymore. Then you can disable Fizz sim, and enable PM sim, set it with label Primary, Reboot your phone and Reset network settings and test
If you are really work, PM porting support team can help. I have sent you the porting support team number. Please check your Community inbox (https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/privatenotespage), check for the number and call.
And in case the poring team cannot help and ask you to submit ticket (or you rather submit ticket anyway), you can submit ticket by direct message:
