Hello all,
The "edit access point" is greyed out for Public Mobile. I have not been able to download pictures when people message me but that is not as important as not being able to get messages in a group chat. It is showing the group phone numbers but no messages. It shows "not available"
The only option showing on the APNs is save or discard. I tried discarding but nothing happens. No option to edit or add new.
I think the settings are not up to date.
I am using an old Umidigi A5 pro phone if that helps to figure out what the problem is.

hi @ragingbull
as said above, try to get a Freedom sim card from a friend and you would be able to unlock the APN edit screen. Good luck.

Thanks for responding hTideGnow and Chalupa_Batman.
I tried a Telus and Speakout sim but it is still greyed out.
There is no option to add another APN but there is a "reset to default" option which I'm not sure if I should try as I still need a functioning phone for work.
I will try to reach out to Umidigi to see if it was locked down as part of production.

Hello @ragingbull
Since you already mentioned you're using an older Umidigi A5 pro, this is the only suggestion I know that might work. You should have an option to create a secondary APN. The APN settings are down below. Click and add another APN just as the 1 that is locked on the device. Option for option identical and click save. If you have only 1 APN. It should have now saved, unlocked the APN and you should have 2 identical. You can now go back and edit the APN that you just created. If not or you can't it usually means you have more APN's to add before they will unlock. Have patience as this may require a little time of trial and error.

hi @ragingbull
so, you cannot delete the current APN and re-create a new one?
what phone do you have ?
some phone requires another sim card to unlock the ability to edit APN. Use a Freedom sim card, borrow one from friends. Freedom sim card can somehow unlock that
