I have access to all Black Friday deals except the $29 10 GB CAN/US/MEX plan I am currently on the $34 CAN/US 50GB plan but use no more than 2GB on average. I assume I cannot downgrade since all options available to me are upgrades only. Do I need to port my number to another carrier and return as a new customer?

The CRTC will refer the complaint to both CCTS and competition bureau. The Ministry gets information about complaints.
The whole purpose of the legislation is to see more competition in Canada, reduced pricing amongst the big three, and more transparency. The big providers continue to play games and make it hard to get fair pricing. It’s only with complaints to the government about what’s going on, that there’s some pressure on providers to be fair with consumers.

The CRTC doesn't handle these types of complaints from customers.

That's what I had to do last spring when the offer I wanted was for new subscriptions only.

only plans available are those you can see in your plan menu. With PM now...it's a challenge to downgrade to more desirable plans.

Sorry, but existing customers can only switch to plans offered to them by Public Mobile. Opening a new/another Public Mobile account is an option.
