Canada and US calling

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if the long distance Canada & US add-ons can be used in the US as well? How does it work? I travel between Canada and the US quite often. I am planning on buying the 25$/90 days basic plan (with no local call, no text and no data), and just buy add-ons. Would it work?

@xCameron94x is right.  The Canada & US LD add-on will only work while you are within Canada and you cannot buy a base plan without at least one of talk, text or data.  Also, a talk add-on will not work without talk in your base plan.

Here's a chart showing what you can do with the various calling plans and add-ons:

I believe you need a calling plan of some type to add the US roaming calling add-on. Makes sence. It's only lasts 10 days, and is not really that useful if you are in the US regularly

If that is the case I would buy a pay as you go phone in the US. That way you can get a local US number, if you travel to the same area.

the long distance add ons cannot be used in the United States. These only work for calls made from Canada. To call numbers from the United States, you need to buy a roaming add on, which lasts 10 days. You cannot stack add ons ontop of eachother if you are there for more than 10 days. You have to wait until the previous 10 days expires to add another add on.

To buy a plan, you do have to add either calling or texting. You cannot just buy a base plan with nothing on it. I could be wrong about that though
