Canada Post Strike

I signed up for public mobile last week and Canada post went on strike the next day. Am I able to change my address to a street address to have my SIM sent to my daughter so I’m not waiting on it to arrive to start services?

Hello @TomHollohan

Since there have been no announcements yet about Public Mobile using courier services like last time, I'd suggest getting a SIM card this way so it's faster.  Plus, I wouldn't bother contacting customer service if the SIM card went out already last week, it's out of their control since it's sitting with Canada Post. Just purchase another SIM card and use it to finish the sign up. Then when you finally get the other SIM card, use it as a back up or refer a friend.

To get a new SIM card the fastest routes are these.

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/pick-up-SIM - Find a local store in your area.

Amazon - Here you can get it cheaper and maybe a few days wait $4.99

Or find a Mobile Klinik near you. https://mobileklinik.ca/stores/

Changing address to your daughter's place will not change anything as your SIM still has to be delivered by Canada Post.

with Canada Post on strike, PM would be sending it via courier, so it might come faster than usual

but check with PM first.   Since you cannot properly login, you won't be able to open the preferred Chatbot ticket.  So, you will need to message them here:
       https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

CS_Agent will reply to your community inbox between 9AM-10PM EST (Mon-Sun), check here:
      https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Or if you don't want to wait, you can buy the PM sim card in person at Telus or Koodo store, or buy from Amazon.ca
