Can't receive inbound call

I transferred my cell number to Public Mobile yesterday. I can make outbound calls but can't receive inbound calls, saying "this number has not been asigned yet, please contact technical support". How can I fix the problem?

Number porting is a 2 step process:

1. PM has done its part to get your number and use it at PM.

2. Now, you are waiting for your old provider to release your number to PM. All calls and text messages to your number will be routed to your old provider until your number is released.

You can read here for PM FAQ on choosing your number and porting.

The old carrier is VIOP. I think I need to wait as what you advice. Thank you!

If you ported yesterday and it was a mobile number, it looks like that your port is stuck.  You will need to contact moderator to finish your port.  You can continue to use your old carrier SIM card until the port is completed.

If it is a landline or VOIP line, it can take several days.
