So I live in Canada and I have an exchange student from France. We checked her phone and it says it's able to use an esim, but after I paid to setup her plan, it won't let her download the app to complete the registration process. Says it's not compatible or something.
Is there something I can do?
Do I need to get a refund and look elsewhere? If so how do I go about that?
Thanks
Joe

@NickNam - Yes, region is prime for activating on PM. Looks like Canada is the only region that the PM app is available for. Even USA seems to not have it in their App Store. They should have it for eSIM like what T-Mobile Prepaid has.
You could try on another phone and wait for the activation welcome email to arrive after selecting the eSIM and picking a number and scanning the QR code from the email.
And if the exchange student wants to make calls to his hometown in France - they can buy $15 of 300LD international minutes or for 10 points if you are redeeming.
I hope it will work out for you and the exchange student! 😉

Update: It worked once we set the region to Canada...
