Hi Public Mobile Community,
I recently transferred my number to Public Mobile. While my calls and data are working fine, I’m currently unable to send or receive any SMS/text messages.
In the RCS chat settings, the status just says "Setting up" and never completes.
I also received a message asking me to reply with "1" to confirm the number transfer, but since SMS isn't functioning, I can't respond properly. I've tried rebooting multiple times, but the issue still persists.
Is there anything I can do to resolve this, or should I contact support directly?

It turned out that the transfer number had been completed properly.

You receive incoming calls? If you do, you are ok with the port and account
The RCS is an issue with Google. You might want to do the same uninstall and reinstall Google Message after a day. Some has to wait as many as 5 days to get that setup

Still not working after uninstall Google Message, roboot and reinstall multiple times 😞

try uninstall Google Message first , reboot phone and reinstall and it should work
