If, like most of us, you allow our telephone number to be presented to the people we call; however, every now and then you may want to block your CID on either a "per call" or "per contact" basis. Here's the simple how to.
For these examples, the full, 10-digit number to be called is "416-555-1234".
CASE 1. For a per call, one shot from the dial pad, prefix the 10 digit telephone as follows:
#31#4165551234[SEND]
CASE 2. For a per stored contact, go to (navigate to) the specific contact in your contacts app. In edit mode, in their telephone number field, prefix their stored telephone number as follows.
#31#4165551234
Save per your contact app procedure/sequence.
Now when you dial this specific person/contact, the #31# will block your CID to the prefixed number. If you have multiple number for this person/contact, then EACH number must be prefixed and saved with the prefix in place.
CASE 3. For numbers needing "1" prefix.
#31#14165551234
should also work.
CASE 4. For numbers needing "+".
Results may vary. It depends on your dialer app.
Happy dialing.
