Yes, the number of the original caller is supposed to get forwarded as well. There are some instances when this just doesn't happen. It's up to each carrier to have things set up properly.
@LEGO I believe an original caller ID should not get lost in transit. I have used a fongo number that forwards calls to my PM line and i still see caller IDs.
