Call dropped at 7 minutes exactly

According to https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Announcements/Issue-Resolved-Dropped-calls-issue/m-p/..., the call dropped issue was solved over a week ago.  I'm a new user on the $10 plan, and my first long phonecall dropped at exactly 7 minutes 0 seconds (according to the My Account log).

Are other still experiencing dropped calls as well?

Mod Andu is investigating.  He got in touch 05/23 and after a few back and forth PMs should now have all the information he needs to check it out.

@Jadebug@Lieux I have sent a message to the moderators, and will report back when they respond.  I'm not a big caller (obviously, being on the $10 plan), so don't plan extensive tests to see if I can replicate it.

 

@Psygineer  Previousl I was on Petro-Canada. In my 10+ years with them, the only two times I recall having a mobile network call drop was once when I ran out of pre-paid balance, and once when I lost reception while in the car (wife was driving, I was phoning :-), we were safe).  Take this with a grain of salt though, I normally used <20 mobile minutes a month in the early days, and now that's even less as I prefer to make calls with data (Hangouts/Fongo/WhatsApp) and only use mobile minutes for the rare incoming call.

For the past year, not just recently, I do randomly get dropped calls. More recently of course it was more frequent, but it's always been there. Prior to switching my parents to a cellphone, my aunt would call their landline on her Roger's cell and calls would drop periodically there. It is something I have just come to accept and expect when using cellphones.

Some other cases Smiley Frustrated the only thing to do is to write a message to the moderator here https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437 and let them know. Waiting time is few hours to 2 days. Be patient.

I have not personally experienced dropped calls, but have seen a few community topics on the subject since the announcement. I think you should contact the moderators, especially if it's reoccurring. If not, it could have been a one off, like losing reception.
