I want to forward calls from my Publice Mobile to my Canadian phone number, that will be having roaming there to receive incoming calls. How I can do it and when it should be done? I will be taking my P-Mobile sim with me in another phone. Which option be used ? Unconditional, busy, Not reachable , No reply , Variable? Enclosing the picture for reference with different option available.
Thanks

Your India sim card works in Canada similar to a Public Mobile sim card in the US and presumably Mexico when it does not have either a Roaming plan or Roaming add ons. It will recieve incoming text (SMS) messages but has no other working mobile services. Your India sim card service provider likely offers Roaming service in Canada if you choose to pay for it?
In general a service providers sim card will only connect to a local international mobile provider's network if there is a pre-existing negotiated Roaming agreement between the two mobile providers..

Public Mobile has no roaming anywhere other than US and Mexico
when you put the PM sim card and in another country, it won't try to connect to any network as there is no roaming service at all.

Thank you. I understand it won't work there. I will be using my India SIM with Data in my phone which I use with P-Mobile, so that my Whatsapp, conversation app and emails work there .
I have my India SIM here which doesn't have roaming, when I put that in any phone, it gets connected to Bell/Rogers/Telus network and I receive messages only , no outgoing messages, no Data, No calls . Have you ever took P_Mobile SIM in non-roaming area and had similar situation?

Another option is to use a SIMore router and leave the SIM in the router at home and use the SIMore app to make and receive calls and texts anywhere in the world.
The router is available for iPhone or Androids.

I always use “unconditional”. Leave my phone and SIM at home.
I have only used call forwarding to another Canadian number while in Canada.

Using Textnow is another option as well. Roaming to India is likely costly with your other provider. Data is incredibly cheap in India. If you get a local sim card using Fongo or Textnow which are voip providers will not incur Roaming charges.
If you call forward to your Roaming phone # and only answer that one call that one day it will incur the daily Roaming rate likely $14 - $16. A month of likely limitless data on an Indian sim card or e-sim plan would probably be far less than that daily Roaming rate.
Just make sure ( regardless of what number you choose to call forward to) that you remove your Public Mobile sim cards from your phone. Better yet leave your Public Mobile sim card with a trusted friend or family member so if call forwarding resets back to default (voicemail) they can put your Sim card in their phone and re-call forward your phone # to your chosen number.

You can use WhatsApp on wifi or use Fongo app and forward your PM number to Fongo when connected to wifi.

@Sukhdev-Momi Use whichever of those forwarding options you like. How to do it is on the options you have shown. If it was me I would choose the unconditional. Do it just before you leave. No reason to take PM sim, it won't work.
