if you need to keep your phone number, leave your account active first. Join your new carrier and request porting your number. After your number is ported, your account will be closed
if you do not need your number, then you just need to login My Account, go to Payment, Manage Subscription and turn off Subscribed. PM will not renew your account after your current cycle, and your account will be suspended and closed eventually
