@emily_b2 ,

What was the exact error message? Depends on the message, you have to ask the PUK code from different places.

If it is a Samsung and if the message is "SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK."
      call  Samsung 1-800-726-7864 for a master unlock code.
      The only info you will need to provide is the IMEI and where the phone was purchased|

If the message is “PIN unlock key (PUK)” or "Enter PUK Your SIM  Card, SIM cannot be accessed" or on an iPhone's status bar showing  "Locked SIM"

You can send a private message to a CS_Agent requesting your PUK code: ->   https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

If the message is "SIM network unlock PIN" or "SIM ME lock code NP" or "SIM not Supported" or  on an iPhone's About->Carrier Lock showing "SIM locked"
          You have to ask the carrier where you got the phone from for the carrier unlock code.

           (Sorry, for this particular issue, PM support would not be able to help)

@emily_b2 ,

“We are all Customers here in this public/open forum that help each other when we are able to but we do not work for Public Mobile!”

If you’ve entered an incorrect PIN three times on your SIM card, you’ll need a Personal Unlocking Key (PUK) code to reset it. Here’s how to get your PUK code:

You can send a private message to a CS_Agent
 requesting your PUK code: ->   https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

Does it only ask for a PUK code when the SIM Card is in the device?

PUK/SIM Pins are set in settings and have nothing to do with Public Mobile, it's essentially locking your SIM Card so if anyone finds it they can't use it in their device without a Passcode..

I had an older referral accidentally set one on her SIM Card once, and there was no way to reset it or have CSA Provide it since they aren't the ones who put it on..

I changed her SIM Card and it fixed the issue, if you need a new SIM Card thankfully Public Mobile is running a sale on Amazon for $4.99 with two day delivery.
