Will PM/Telus giving any discount on data's so people can stay more Anti-social? Just like Shaw giving unlimited data on their customers home internet and free Wi-Fi on their "shaw go" to everyone even if there shaw customer or not.

@Jit50 If they're asking about having more data so they can stay anit-social, they're concerned about curbing this thing. Most of us want to stay home and let this pass, but a lot of us are left without a job in these circumstances, and can't simply pay more money, for more data, and more minutes, so we can stay somewhat connected while remaining isolated. People aren't fishing for discounts just to get a discount.

I'm not sure how this would work. A lot of home internet users already have unlimited plans due to streaming services and all the other devices that require an active internet connection such as home security systems, nest devices, etc... If the ISPs would be willing to provide a one time discount or monetary credit to each subscriber, that would be much easier. However, I see more of an opportunity for ISPs, the larger ones, actively looking at this as a chance to increase fees, lol.

are you more interested in getting some kind of a discount, or in helping to curb the spread of the infection? what's your actual priority?

Giving more data doesn't make people more anti-social. It makes them more social and more likely to use data while out.

@Jit50, as you had mentioned, "

So, on that, there are many hot wi-fi spots with Shaw, well over 100,000 and counting. Just use one of these, and you should be good to go.
