I got halfway through setting up my account and got a browser error. I got as far as entering my SIM info and transferring my number (old provider shows its gone) but never entered payment or plan info. Now I can't login to my PM account to finish setup.

@donnyr

Get a PM number during activation.  Make sure that your account is working before posting your Speakout number to PM.  Read my post on how I port my Speakout number to PM in 4 hours without moderator help.

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that my Speakout account has returned, must be a timeout on the number porting. I tried to register again but it says I have to wait 80 minutes to try the SIM card again as its tied to my old browser session. I'll sort it out tomorrow. Thanks for all the help from the community.

@donnyr When you try again in the morning remember these tips for successful activation. Have your referral code and credit card statement showing your billing address ready. Also have a pen and paper to write down your pin code, email, password and security question and answer. You'll want to them in a safe place. Now clear your browser and use secret/incognito mode in chrome or Firefox preferably. Enter your referral code on the first page and double check your work before moving to the next page. Speak out can sometimes be problematic to port. It's better to choose a temporary number and port your number over after you have activated your SIM card and account. That way you will an active service if anything goes wrong. When you reach the third page choose your plan ($25+If you want the promo). Then enter your credit card info. Leave the apt/unit box blank and do not put a space in the postal code. Copy your address exactly like your statement using ALL CAPS if necessary. Again double check your work...and submit. Await your text message with pin code and welcome email from public mobile. You can then access your self serve account and port your speak out phone number over. You will know it's complete Once You can receive incoming calls on your phone. Reboot if needed. Good luck.

Oh... Forgot about the strange thing happens at Speakout around midnight ET, SO zero out my parents SO account one night a few months ago.  I called SO and was told may be IT department was doing something.  Magically, my parents account fund returned next morning.

@donnyr  Try the PM sim card in your device to see if it connects to the Network. If your sim card is activated try to access your selfserve account. If you can't then you need to contact PM to complete your activation.

To contact Public Mobile click here. The link  sends you to the private message function and adds the moderator team as recipient for a private message. I had $20 left which you forfeit when you port. Balance is now $0 so the number WAS ported. I suspect the chance it was ported to be closer to 100% than zero,

Is there any chance that your $20 expired after 365 days without topup?

Only moderator can access your account.  You can create a moderator support ticket using the ? button at the righ hand bottom corener of this page.  Modeator wait time is up to 2 days.

My old provider Speakout now shows $0 balance and no service with that SIM. Hopefully a mod can help soon because I am leaving for the US on Tuesday.

Did you used up your fund in your Speakout account

OR your fund expired after 365 days without topup?

For PM, there is zero chance that PM will start porting your number without paying your plan first. Payment is the last step in PM activation.

That would be strange if Public Mobile did transfer the number when you never paid for the Public Mobile plan. I do know that at Freedom Mobile, it's possible to sign up to a Pay Before plan, request a number port in, but not apply a payment until later and just leave the Freedom account in suspended status.

Was your old providers service working when you were halfway through the Public Mobile setup process?  Your old service only deactivated itself after that and you never called your old carrier to cancel?

If your number did actually port over to Public Mobile, you will need a moderator to help fix up your account.
