As far as I know the Blu Tank II (dumbphone) should work on the public network, however it won't connect. It is stuck on 'emergency' and not connected to any network.
Can someone help me troubleshoot this?
Thanks.

Go to the Public Mobile - Getting Started page to see if that phone will work at PM.
Is it a new phone or did you bring it from a previous cell provider ? Is it locked to previous provider ?
Blu doesn't sell locked phones.
@andrewhogg01, phone is incompatible.

It is GSM only. It can only be used on Rogers in Canada, no other carrier.

In the phone compatability chart in the "getting started" page I saw blu tank on there and thought it would work because it was listed. My mistake. Below it clearly showed it was not compatible. I was sad because I really like that phone. It was surprisingly durable, very simple and I only had to charge it once a month.
I bought a nokia 3310 3g and it is ok.

Compatibility pasted below:
Learn about your phone's compatibility with our network:
3GDevice does not support 3G bands
4G LTE
Device does not support 4G LTE bands
So the device should work on HSPA:
850 MHz and 1900 MHz (UMTS), right?
Public Mobile voice is 3G only. Your post says 3G not supported. Ergo... 🙂
3G = UMTS/HSDPA/WCDMA.
2G = GSM
That phone supports the 2G GSM frequencies that admittedly confusingly are the same as 3G...so then it's about the protocols being carried by the transmission. GSM != UMTS.

According this website, Blu Tank doesn't work with PM:

According to the following link, BluTank II supports only GSM signal, no 3G or LTE. Unfortunately, PM does not support GSM(2G) singal. Blu Tank II will not work with PM.

Did you use it before with a different company? Is it an unlocked phone?
