Can you verify that I will be able to get the Black Friday promotion next week when my SIM card arrives, if I registered my email address in ‘Community’ today?

Signing up to Community is unrelated to signing up for service. Opening a Community account doesn't secure a promotional plan.

However, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that if you screenshotted the promotion, entered your e-mail address, and then went through the process to sign on to this, you'll get it even if you have to request it of the Customer Support Agents after the fact.
Be SURE to screenshot all things worth keeping to show it later (if necessary)

Hi @Cristine2 sorry, we don't know. We are just customers here. I don't think PM is going to tell exactly when too
If you need it urgently, check out Telus or Koodo stores and pick up one and activate today
In case you really miss the BF promo, maybe hope the Christmas promo will be as good
