For some reason, the past few months, I am being billed for more than what it says my next bill will be. It should be $50.00, but for a couple of months, I was billed $52.90 and then the next couple of months, I was billed $55.20. My online statement doesn't match up with this either. In a previous post, someone else was told it was the tax, but that doesn't make sense because my bill matched my plan before.

Click on the payment history and check all the previous payments against your credit card bills and you will see that statement was always before tax and your credit card statements included tax. It's possible that you are now paying more if you (like many) lost inactive referrals after the great purge

This is the sales tax. They do not show the plans with tax just like many other carriers as tax differs across this vast land of Canada. If you were to buy a voucher you would pay tax at the Point of sale. If you were to top up your account manually you would also see this sales tax.
If you have any rewards, auto-pay, referral, community or loyalty those will come off first and you will pay less sales tax.
Hope this is clear, have an amazing day welcome to Public Mobile!

If you have the $50 plan then it is $50 less rewards + sales tax.

@Kim4 i agree with them that it's tax if you are on auto pay you probably had four dollars off 1st cycle then every cycle since then it has been 2 dollars deducted $46.00 times 1.15 =52.90 and the after that you would pay $48.00 times 1.15=55.20 . now I have a headache first thing in the morning lol
