Asus Rog Phone 2 APN issue

I just switch to this phone and I am having the issue where Telus and Kodoo appear in my APN list, but no option to add APN or edit to get data going?

Heres the breakdown of my experience.
1. Asus support - three different times contacting them, first guy I told him he was dumb, second was helpful gave me a case number, third, case number was useless and so was he.
2. Public mobile forum - helpful with the knowledge you have
3. Original seller, sent me a new rom, problem fixed!
Why is Asus so useless and could not have given me a new rom?

It is frustrating...
As stated before, you might need to try Freedom mobile Sim or Roaming mobility SIM card to change setting.

I tried a sim from US at&t and it doesnt work. I'm spending too much time on this, thanks for everyones suggestions.

@70challengerAsus is notorious for having quirky firmware, they didn't add all the possible providers into their firmware,so Public Mobile is missing. I would suggest get a Roam / Freedom SIM card can even go to your nearest phone repair shop to see if you can borrow one and set up the APN. Once you have added it in, it will be there.

@70challenger If you have a Freedom mobile sim, a roam.com sim or another sim from a foreign country ude that sim to add the PM apn entry. Once the apn has been added then insert the PM sim and you should be good to go.

Must be Android 8 Oreo i believe had this issue what some belived to be a carrier issue. Any chance you can upgrade to 9 on it? Is there no option to add an apn when you click on the three dots located at the top right?

Is there an option when you press the 3 dot menuin the upper right?
