Hi there I am new to Public and I’m looking to set up a new phone number for a work line. However, all of the area codes are not the ones I am used to seeing in Calgary (403, 587) I’m worried it will look like I am a spammer when I call someone who does not have me as a contact. Is there a way to find one of those area codes, or key in the number you would are hoping for?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

@RChamp - There is 403 in Olds, Rocky Mountain House, Drumheller, Canmore, as well as many others that others have suggested, check it out in your My Account, click Profile, then hit the Crayon and choose your city. (Ponoka and south is basically 403 lines & North of Ponoka is 780.) If you haven't created an account yet, then you don't need to go through these steps. Also sorry that I am late to the chat. Luckily, I got my 403 Number right before when my Suffix code (After 403) got exhausted.

Hi. Keep in mind we have Canada wide calling and some of the population does not.
So possibly a Calgary or Edmonton area code does not matter. And if your calls are all out bound, would it matter?. Keep in mind, too, there is no cost to change your number.
Take a look at numbers here. https://voip.ms/residential
Might cost $20 or so to get one and port out.
Then sometimes you will see real nice numbers for sale on Craigslist.. but likely too expensive.
Like many I have no idea what area codes are in my area.
But am aware of some but not all that belong to other provinces.
I would assume that when an old classic gets cancelled it goes back to the tier 1 carrier and not Public Mobile. But in my area, there is still a way to get a 604 number from Public Mobile. So maybe a local member would have some advice for you.
Play with this to give you an idea. https://cnac.ca/co_codes/co_code_status.htm
I met a local guy that wanted a lucky number so he uses a Moose Jaw number.
Thinking out of the box then manipulating to your needs…give it a try.

Lethbridge still has 403
and also Strathmore,
Fort Mcmurray has 587
Just keep changing city to one around your area (and local call to your area)

there is no trick to find the nice area code you want 😞
All i can say is to try other AB city that uses 403 or 587 area code, like Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Airdrie, Okotoks, Cochrane, Strathmore, Fort McMurray, and Grande Prairie
