I am becoming increasingly frustrated at the inability to be able to contact ANYONE.... I have been without the ability to receive incoming calls or texts for almost 1 month now..... and whilst I accept that the error was initially due to an incorrect IMEI number ( I forgot that I had changed my cellphone with my previous network)... I now have the correct information but no-one to give it to....., despite emails....messages.... tweets... and Facebook messages..... i am still no further forward....
Can someone please...please.... contact me so i can have my porting process completed....
I work as a nurse, and shifts are brodcast via an automated call system via text.... and i am missing out on valuable work....
Regards

Hello @pmcn500,
I'm sorry for the delay in responding back to you as you might already know we are currently receiving a higher volume of requests than our usual.
I was able to look into the port request for you and I see it had failed due to the wrong info provided, our porting team also tried reaching you a few times on the alternate number provided by you but no success.
I was able to re-submit the request with the pin number you provided but Speakouts has required 24 hours to respond back.
If they accept that info then the port will complete in the next 24 hours and you will receive a text message saying that the port has completed and then simply reboot your phone.
Thanks,
Shazia

@pmcn500 yes I know but because you are in between in the porting process there is a chance your old sim is still active and be able to fully function that is why I suggest trying it

An emergency texting solution is the application from fongo.com. It provides free calling across Canada from wherever you are connected to wifi; PLUS for $2.79 you have a month texting. Of course you would need to tell folks your temprary texting number. ![]()

@pmcn500if you are only able to make calls and text not receive them have you tried your old SIM it may still be active and if it is working you can use it until this gets fixed as unfortunately there is no MODS on right now so it will get you through the night and I am sure Shaz or one of the other MODS will get to you tomorrow.

@Shazia_K is there anything you can do to help @pmcn500 sooner than later? Pretty please? They have been waiting for a month 😞

I understand how frustrated you must be. I myself was without calling, for over two weeks. My texting and data were working, thankfully. But I was in the same boat. Sent messages to PM, messages to mods, and no response. Not only that, but there wasn't even an official announcement for almost two weeks. Not even an acknowledgement that there was an issue. So everybody was left in the dark, and felt pretty helpless.
On a positive note, my case was resolved after the two weeks. You and the others are just in a long list of cases that need to be looked at. They were definitely not prepared for this massive incident, and are making steps towards preventing/resolving these cases much quicker in the future. When their service is fully functional, they are amazing. So I hope you hang in their just a little longer, and that you don't let this impact your future here. I'm sure that they will credit you for the time missed as well.
