just got my sim from Public Mobile. How can I activate my SIM using my old number

I activated on my own. Before you start your phone needs to be unlocked.
Go to Activate: Follow the steps in Activate. Enter SIM number. Write down your PIN so you will not forget. When you get to the phone number part pick you want to use an existing number.
Choose your number, Put in the name and account number for your last cell phone company. Do not cancel that policy. When your number moves over it will close that account.
Then click activate on the bottome, a little wheel will show up and ask you to wait. Then just wait for the Public SIM to work.
Mine was in around 15mins.
I dont think I missed anything. I didnt have to restart my phone but Public Mobile emailed me and said I should.

@banstell choose port number from another provider on the second page of activation. make sure to use your browser in incognito/private mode to avoid any issues. and double check your information before proceeding

@banstell as long as you aren't from Koodo prepaid you can port your number on activation. If Koodo prepaid you activate your SIM card with a temporary cell phone number and contact the moderators to port.

You previous providers account must be active to port your number. Once the port is complete it will automatically close. Welcome to PM. Stay safe.
