Hello, I just have one more small question for my friend who is about to activate.
It is currently 10pm. Is it better for her to activate after midnight, so that the monthly plan starts with tomorrow as the start date?

I ran into this issue reactivating a suspended account. I had the payment all set up to submit as the clock struck midnite (well 9pm in bc). I was outside on a rather blustery evening and as I counted down the last 10 seconds I shivered and accidently pressed submit! Well didn't the payment system work perfectly for its one time ever and the payment was accepted at 8:59:59 pm and I then watched the time tick over to 9pm! Paid for all of 1 second of service on the first day of the 30 day cycle and I messed up syncing the renewal to mine!

As noted by @computergeek541, if your friend activated after midnight then they will be charged the date it was activated and they can use between 0:01 to 23:99.
The only problem if they run into issues with activating the PM SIM, the Community and the moderator can help in the morning.

@samcat I guess with all the answers from above, I would wait till tomorrow to activate 🙂

Any partial day (including the day of activation) counts as a full day of service used, even if you activate 1 minute before midinight. I hope that answers your question.

@samcat : This place runs on eastern time. I don't remember if you've said where your friend is. Doesn't matter. Just keep in mind eastern time. I suppose it would be better to activate after midnight ET to wake up to a full day of newly paid service. But in the grand scheme of things one day barely matters.

We're in Ontario so it's just past 10pm now.
