As my account will be deactivated on Jan 21, 2023, would like to pay minimum to keep phone number and reactivate when back in the country late April. My wife would like to do the same

@300zx  you might need to only make one payment before you come back in late April

so, you can change the plan to $15 now.  Then come back on Jan 16 and then pay and resume it for 30 days on the $15 plan.  While you making the payment, make sure your Pre-Authorized payment is still disabled

With that plan activation on Jan 16, your plan will be active for 30 days and will be suspended on Feb 15.    With that, you have until May 16 to resume or your account will be permanently closed.  But assuming you come back late April, that's a perfect timing

Just to confirm - when you say January 21st your account will become deactivated, is that 90 days from the last date you had service?  In other words, your last date of active service would have been in or around October 23, 2022?

If so, no later than January 20th, make a payment to activate on the $15 plan.  Make sure to confirm the date of deactivation on your self-serve.

Then allow the 30-day cycle to complete and do not make another payment.

On February 20th the account will suspend again for up to 90 days, during which time you will return to Canada and can reactivate on the desired plan of your choice.

You should switch to the $15 plan.

Then disable auto pay.

Then make sure to make a payment by day 85 . 

Or else you'll lose your account and phone number, if payment payment isn't made by day 90.

Then repeat. Until you return to Canada.
