What to do if you forget your account PIN and need to reset it? What’s the process?

@taghi  was answered on first page of this thread but here you go.

 

If you have an Android phone and it's the original one you used when joining you might be able to find the pin in sim card messages.

 

  • Open message app
  • Top right, middle or bottom click the 3 dots
  • Go to settings
  • Go to advanced
  • Go to sim card messages

Otherwise contact moderators.

I would recommend clicking on the bubble to the bottom right of screen and type "I forgot my PIN".

 

SIMon, the genius chatbot, will lead you from there to get it all taken care of !!!

Hi @trgtrg2020 you thought wrong! lol Moderators are gods, they can see if you are naughty or nice.  oh that's santa claus. lol

 

Anyway, you joined Public Mobile or at least the community on 07-31-2019.. that's over a year ago.  But you might still remember the welcome email that PM sent you about your activation details.  Among other things, the email says...

did you?  Many users forget their pin number.  I almost did... I said almost.  lol

FYI, if you activated in-store, your pin number was sent to by SMS.   It's the 4-digit number, nothing else.  If you activated online, you chose your pin number.

PIN number is used by moderator to help to confirm customer's identity.  Moderators know your PIN when they look up your account.  You also need your PIN number to access your account when you dial 611  (ie. to buy add ons, etc.)

Moderators can see your pin. I have been asked to give it to them for verification when asking for assistance.

Your sim might be there. If not follow @JoyLuck  instructions.

You can contact moderator to reset your PIN.

 

You should have received a text from Public mobile when you first signed up with your PIN number that you chose.

Here’s how to contact the Moderator Team (Public Mobile representative) for assistance to recover your pin.

 

  • Get help with your account the easy way by starting a conversation with our virtual assistant, SIMon. It’ll take you to relevant help articles, or if it’s something more urgent, it can help you submit a ticket to the Moderator Team. Choose the chat bubble in the lower right hand corner and follow the prompts.
  • Alternatively, you can send a private message to the Moderators by clicking here. You’ll need to be logged in to your Community account for the link to work.
