911 in Newfoundland and Labrador

Hi all, 

the E911 description says that it is not yet available in Newfoundland and Labrador. 

What exactly happens if I dial 911 from Newfoundland?

Do I have regular 911 or no 911 service at all?

Regular 911 is available everywhere in NL now - outside of St. John's, the province is served out of Corner Brook.

E-911 only makes it easier for dispatch to know your location.

@Saturn5 it's not available there. But you still have access to regular 911 service. See link  https://www.health.gov.nl.ca/health/findhealthservices/ambulance_services.html
