Why can't we switch out of these outdated plans to the newly offered plans ??????
No common sense here !!

Are YOU on 4/5G plan? Is your phone '4/5G' compatible/approved?
Why don't you just pull your SIM in stick it into his phone to see will it work?
Please post your findings here! I am very interested to see should I budget for a new phone or not.

Funny that you mentioned this because one of my friend is on the $25 3G plan on a Samsung phone and it is showing LTE too.
4G=LTE so I am assuming he is on 4G/LTE on his 3G plan.
i will ask him to do a speed test to confirm.

Since you mentioned 'LTE'...
My phone Samsung S7 does show LTE when I activate data. Does it mean it WILL work with 4G (5G?).
I would hate to be forced to spend on a new phone throwing away perfectly good and working phone just to have mobile service.
I was not able to find 'volte' option nor to 'activate' it. Will that matter?
'New' $15 plan does sound good due to unlimited calls/texting. I never had use for mobile data as I prefer bigger screen (laptop/computer) than puny, myopic phone's screen. So if forced to switch to 'new' $15 plan I would not mind IF I can keep my phone.

The new 4G plan is $15 with unlimited calling and texting (no data). The old $15 plan is with 100 minutes outgoing and unlimited incoming calls and texting but no 250mb of data.
This replaces the 3G plan since 3G will be decommissioned in 2025…I can see a lot of people with old 3G phones will have to get a new 4G/LTE & 5G phones.

Hello @Tedzzz
I assume you're on the $15 plan and you want the $19 plan? If so, create a ticket and ask a CS Agent very nicely to switch. They have been known to upgrade plans that have a higher dollar value. Please come back and let us know if it worked for you.

@Tedzzz what plan do you currently have??
the $29-20GB is a great 4G plan, it will only cost $25/30 days if you choose the 90 days Subscription
