Hi Community,
We heard you about wanting more countries and we have some exciting news to announce today! Effective October 8, 2020, Public Mobile is launching a new add-on suite of Long Distance Minutes to better serve customers making calls internationally from Canada.
What’s changing?
We made some key changes based on your feedback, including:
- A simplified structure

This is a great improvement
The only problem I see is with Canada and USA inclusion, they used to be nested, Canada was included everywhere. Is that still the case? Can we fall back on any of these for Canadian minutes (not that it always makes sense)
It's clear that usa is not included in uk
My suggestion is to make it very clear in the small print
Thanks

So the old 200 and 400 add-ons also included Canada. Do any of the new add-ons also include Canada? Or will it now just be the $5 one?
If so, will there be sensible, logical priorities of add-ons used for those with several add-ons? And even without Canada? Old and new?

I don't "love it" or find this that "exciting". Some customers who only need a small amount of minutes end up with higher priced add-ons and the potential need to need to purchase more than one seems just as advantageous to Public Mobile as it does to the customer having more options through calling cards, etc.
At least customers can now call more places, but there's no shortage of long distance options. It is also true that these new add-ons will be better for those who call destinatioms with the higher amount of mimutes.

@Catherine_T will the add-on section be updated to list the new countries?
It shows this still for the old 400 international minutes.
Maybe another paragraph with the 300 international minute countries?
@computergeek541 yup noticed that. Also only 1000 min USA calling plan for $15. Some people don't need that much talk time to confirm a hotel reservation or wtv. Luckily textnow is free 😀

Some customers will certainly be happy with additional countries. However, less minutes are now included with one of those add-ons.
Also, comparing the list of added countries to the complete list further down in the annoucement, it appears that Canada, the U.S. and some other countries are not included in the 300 mimute add-on. This can potentially cause confusion in a now more complicated add-on offer and could cause the customer to need to purchase more than one add-on costing the customer more than before.
@Catherine_T Have some countries been removed from the multi-country nternational calling add-on (Canada, U.S, UK, etc)?

Still not purchasable from the 611 service. As the $5 one hasn't since it came up.
