I have been looking around and may go back to my old carrier; at least with them, I get voicemail! What gives with Telus

How does one listen or go to voice mail, is the a number or task one needs to use? 

E sims phones?

where can I find a phone that uses esims instead of sim cards?  I would prefer a pre-owned phone as I am on a very low pension. I am desperate as my phone is haveing a problem with reading my sim card
