Texting trouble

When I try to send a photo in text or sometimes just a text I get the message “mms messaging needs to be enabled to send this messsge” but my mms messaging is turned on.

I fixed it! I had to reset network settings under general settings on my iPhone. [✅ .......... Luddite]

I have an old SIM card still in the phone and a new esim. Could that be the problem?
