Hey folks, I am trying to use a publicmobile SIM card in a weather station, so that it texts me the weather data - is this a posible device option? Not your typical phone. And only uses text messaging to send and recieve the weather data.
I just looked into this for my elderly father and found that purchasing a phone elsewhere, like at Best Buy or Amazon could be a better option, new phone vs. refurbished. Especially if you aren't after a name band phone. The SIM card is very inexpens...
Can you put the phone to factory reset and then install the SIM card and then restart the phone? This worked for me but don't do it if you have data on your phone that you haven't put on the cloud first.
I just did this by creating a new email first and then using that address for the new phone. Basically it's 2 accounts, you can't add another to existing. Maybe you could use your husband's email address and use the friend referral code to get a disc...
