I was cut twice exactly 2 hrs 30 minutes 54 seconds.  the clock seems to reset if you message/text yourself or someone else prior to the cutoff time.  It worked once so far for me. Perhaps it shows activity on the SIM card.  I was able to go 3 hours ...
