I am thinking of replacing my old Thinkware dash cam with the new BlackVue DR-750X dash cam.
This dash cam will require a SIM with data so it can give instant notifications and upload events to the cloud.
Has anyone used a PM SIM in this dash cam before I decide to get one?

Thanks everyone, I emailed the local distributor Blackboxmycar and find out if it will work.
@softech good suggestion on Fido.

@BKNS27 It should.
the vendor site.. if you are going with this version:
https://shop.blackvue.com/product/dr750x-2ch-lte-plus-na/
it does mentioned support Telus,
The spec. did talk about B2/4/12
**AVOID Global version, the bands do not work here
Now, it is a matter of how much data it needs. Data is not cheap here
If you can get hand on Fido, they have data plan for $20 for 4Gb and many people get it half price or completely free
If not, Zoomer wireless has the same offer but you need to pay full price

Well, it "should" work as long as it supports Telus/Public Mobile LTE bands in your area, and will work until the data included in whatever plan you choose runs out. If that happens, you can either buy a data add-on to cover the rest of your current 30 day plan, or choose a larger plan to start with to see how much data it actually uses and downgrade for the next 30 day period...

This dash cam requires a small amount of data to operate.
It will work with Telus, Rogers, AT&T and T-mobile top tier but they only offer plans with large data.
The retailer indicated there is no guarantee that it will work on mid and low tier.
I was hoping if any member have tried use lower cost tier like PM on this dash cam.

In theory yes....A sim card is a sim card but it may be an expensive option for its use unless you plan on just using your current sim card in the dash cam.
