Talk if im texting you I probably don't want to talk to you. But I still treat my phone mostly like a home phone if im "home" I'll answer it.

I like text better if it is not urgent.

I'm a big texter.  BUT I'm usually busy, with kids, work and so on.   But if I were given a choice, on what I would prefer, then it would probably be a call.

Texter mainly.  I don't have time to talk on the phone.

I prefer voice, generally. Realtime conversation is faster and better when the topic evolves through information revealed by interaction. I enjoy pleasant and social calls. And my utter lack of enjoyment with unpleasant calls would be intensified by frustrated muddling through cryptic brevity/errors transcribed across stupid emojicons and touchscreen keyboards.

But text is definitely the way to go when "okay" or "yes/no" or "in 15 mins" is all that really needs to be said. Or when things need to be "put in writing" to minimize communication confusions/problems.
